Course Description
Venous Thromboembolism (VTE) is a potentially life-threatening condition that occurs when a blood clot forms in a vein, usually in the deep veins of the legs, pelvis, or arms. This can lead to complications such as deep vein thrombosis (DVT) or pulmonary embolism (PE). As a caregiver, it is essential to understand the basics of VTE, its causes, risk factors, prevention, and treatment methods. This course aims to provide a foundational understanding of VTE to help caregivers support their patients effectively and ensure their safety.
